~ Hypnosis ~
You pass through altered states of consciousness at least twice a day. Once as you awaken in the morning and as you fall asleep at night. Research also says that 2/3 of the time we watch TV we are in an altered state.
Brain researchers and medical practitioners have divided this brainwave activity
into four levels, based on cycles-per-second of activity. Beta: Full consciousness Alpha: Falling asleep, awakening, hypnosis and meditation. Theta: Early stages of sleep, deep hypnosis and deep meditation. Delta: Full sleep to deepest sleep.
For most, hypnosis is a mid-Alpha range activity. In this stage you will remain fully aware of all that is going on around you. You are then open to suggestion and positive change in your life.
